ASHEVILLE – North Carolina climbed to fifth place from 10th place on a national ranking of state clean-energy job announcements.
Construction of three solar power plants by Charlotte-based Duke Energy – projects that will cost $500 million and add up to 800 construction jobs – powered the state’s leap in the rankings.
